The Abiqua Student
Abiqua Academy promotes lifelong, active, engaged learning.
We promote lifelong learning in our students through a challenging yet supportive environment. We affirm and encourage intellectual, physical, emotional, artistic, ethical, and social education. As educators we instill a passion for service, community, and social responsibility.
Education is more than mastering skills and acquiring knowledge. We use HEART attributes to develop character and social skills. This program teaches our students how to be purposeful citizens of their local and global community.
Our students prove their knowledge using many intelligences, brain styles, and personality. Teachers develop and sustain natural wonder in the students by utilizing theme-base learning. These themes stimulate curiosity, love of learning, motivation, and resilience.
Our student education goes beyond the curriculum. The development of the whole child is pivotal to our vision as a school. Our Small class sizes allow teachers to track individualized goals and provide enrichment opportunities.
Abiqua Academy admits students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. The school does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national and ethnic origin, sexual orientation or gender identity in administration of educational policies, admissions policies, tuition assistance programs, and athletic and other school-administered programs.
