Head of School Message
Whether you are a current or prospective parent, an employee, an alumnus, or a friend, thank you for taking the time to learn about Abiqua Academy.
Since its founding in 1993, Abiqua has prided itself in educating the whole child and instilling a love for lifelong learning. Our teachers are passionate, caring professionals who come to work every day ready to make a difference in their students' lives. Our class sizes are deliberately small so that every teacher knows each student, not just their favorite subjects or their strengths and weaknesses, but who they are and what makes them unique.
While our students receive a top-notch education, each student is immersed in the understanding and the practicing of our HEART skills. We believe that our HEART is what makes Abiqua a special place; it's ingrained in every child. You only have to walk down our halls to appreciate the vibrant, child-centered spirit of the Abiqua community. The conversations, the laughter, the hands-on learning that goes on in each classroom help make each day fun. We believe that a child's education should be enlightening and entertaining. After all, as the chant goes, "At Abiqua we have fun!"
I hope that each of you will take some time to learn about our school by exploring our website and coming onto campus to find out for yourself what makes Abiqua so special. This is a truly exceptional place for children to learn, make friends, and become compassionate young adults.
As the Abiqua Head of School and current parent of three Abiqua students, I look forward to getting to know you and your family.
Thank you for visiting,
Head of School
