The Admission Process
The following steps will guide you through the Admissions Process. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact our Director of Admissions at 503-399-9020.
Connect with Abiqua Academy so we can inform you of Admissions events and important deadlines.
SCHEDULE A TOUR
You will be contacted by the Director of Admissions to schedule a tour. We typically schedule group or private tours during the fall; currently tours are conducted privately and safely with information specific to your grade preferences.
At an Abiqua Academy Open House you will have an opportunity to meet our administration, including Head of School, Lily Driskill. Abiqua's Master Teachers from Pre-K through High School will provide an overview of our program and answer any questions you might have.
After your inquiry is received, the Director of Admissions will email a link to our online application, including instructions for obtaining teacher referrals and uploading necessary documents. The application fee is $115.00
All new 1st-12th grade applicants will be invited to experience a day in the life of an Abiqua student. Applicants should demonstrate appropriate mathematical, verbal, and social skills with teachers and peers. Evaluations may include a student interview, math, reading, and/or writing assessments.
Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten applicants will attend a group evaluation in the spring.
Notification and Enrollment Contract
Admission decisions are based on a holistic assessment of the individual’s ability to succeed and thrive at Abiqua and the family's willingness to support the school.
The Director of Admissions, Susan Cole, will notify the family regarding the admission decision. Enrollment contracts will be emailed for accepted students.
