Abiqua Academy is seeking Substitute to fill positions as they occur during the 2020-21 school year. The Substitute Teacher supports our Teachers in working with children to promote children's growth in the areas of social-emotional, physical, cognitive and language development. This is on call position. Salary Range $22.50 / Daily Shift Type Substitute
1. Bachelor's Degree
2. Criminal history clearance
3. Valid Oregon Teaching License (Preferred)
Essential Job Duties: 1. Teach the approved Abiqua Academy curriculum based on lesson plans provided by the regular classroom teacher. 2. Implement the regular teacher’s assigned responsibilities, plans and schedule. 3, Have a passion for working with students PreK- 12.
4. HEART values: Honor, Empathy, Accountability, Respect, and Teamwork, are reinforced within and beyond the classroom. 5. Assess student work when appropriate and time permits. 6. Promote and maintain student behavior expectations conducive to learning and maximizes learning time. 7. Establish and demonstrate positive human relations with students, parents, other staff members, and the community. 8. Ensure the accuracy, completeness, confidentiality, and security of all student information. 9. Comply with Abiqua Academy policies and procedures including meeting with assigned students at scheduled location and time. 10. Other duties as assigned.
