Please Note: A snack will not be provided in any adventure class. Classes that are year long will have open registration during each season for the same price. If your student is not picked up within 15 minutes of the end of class, they will be charged for after care.
Cancellation Policy: If Abiqua needs to cancel a class you will not be charged. Each class requires a minimum number of 10* participants to begin.

Do you have trouble getting your child excited about reading? What if they created their own book they could read at bedtime?
Join Miss Tiffany for a create your own book adventure. Children will work on their writing and illustrating skills. By the end of the class they will have their own book to take home and read to their family.

WiseMind Mindful Movement Class Integrating physical movement and social-emotional skills for resilience. Students are offered: Basic, simplified neuroscience related to emotion-regulation, simple movements based on common yoga shapes, games to promote movement, self-awareness, and social emotional learning through play, stories and art, body-mind tools to promote resilience.
Shea Bodine, BA (Spanish and Latin American Studies) is a former elementary classroom teacher and graduate of Yoga Calm’s Youth Instructor Program, Trauma Center’s Trauma Sensitive Yoga 20 hour workshop, and has completed Mindful Schools Mindfulness Fundamentals and Mindfulness for Educators Course. She contracts with WiseMind Educational Services to facilitate resilience coaching for students and staff in Salem-Keizer Public Schools.

Join a rock band led by Mr. Norman! Over the course of the class, students will learn 5-6 classic rock songs, culminating in a performance at a local venue. NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED!
Students will learn the fundamentals of instrument care and basic operation for: guitar, bass, drums, keyboards, amplifiers, and sound systems. They will also learn to rehearse individually and with a group of students.

A weekly fingerboard session with Pro Fingerboarder Mr. Norman! The class will focus on the following skills: setting up and maintaining a fingerboard, learning fundamental tricks (ollie, shuv it, kickflip, etc), learning to plan, film, edit, and release a short film and simple construction/DIY skills. Whether you are just learning how to play the game or preparing for your next tournament, all are welcome.
