



Abiqua Adventures offer amazing opportunities outside of the classroom. Classes such as yoga, robotics, painting, baking, 3D animation, and drama provide fun-filled after-school activities, right on campus!

Policies:

A snack will not be provided in any adventure class.

Classes that are year long will have open registration during each season for the same price.

If your student is not picked up within 15 minutes of the end of class, they will be charged for after care.

If Abiqua needs to cancel a class you will not be charged. Each class requires a minimum number of 10* participants to begin. *Minimum of 6 participants required for DND

Dungeons & Dragons is a magical and thrilling team based roleplaying game. It uses the imagination and creativity of everyone involved to play. It is a game that relies on dramatic performances and stupendous moments to forge a memorable experience.
Participants learn skills in mathematics, theater, and problem solving.

The 7th and 8th Grade Theater Program is back for another year of dramatics and fun! Led by the talented Anna Boedigheimer and assisted by Nick Kintz, with choreography by Wisa Opton, our program runs from October to May, culminating in a performance on May 17th and 18th.
No experience is necessary, just an interest in theater and performing. This year will also include all students participating in learning technical theater and running tech for the 5th and 6th grade performance in April.

This 8-week series encourages creativity and emotional intelligence through imaginative storytelling intertwined with yoga based movement. Interactive classes are coupled with mindfulness games, art projects, and supportive group interactions which foster kiddos being their genuine and wonderful selves.
Chantal is an advanced yoga teacher through Yoga Alliance, owner of Resonance Yoga Collective in downtown Salem, and she is the the creator of Kids Yoga Summer Camp.

The 24 Challenge is a math competition held annually with Salem area schools. In the club, we'll play math based games and practice for the competition.
You can join just to play the math games, participating in the math competition is not required.

Our Potion classes combine the fun of Harry Potter and the magic of potion brewing. This class is an Abiqua favorite and slots fil up fast! Expect a fun and engaging learning experience with colorful experiments with a dash of whimsy.
Our potions master will walk you through each step of the magic; from locating ingredients to assembling your very own cauldron.

Welcome to Abiqua Academy Chess Club. We use chess as a tool for building community, connection and confidence. Our core values are focus, friends, and fun.
Whether you are just learning how to play the game or preparing for your next tournament, all are welcome. We will have a chess lesson and instruction at the beginning of every class followed by free play. Featuring regional and state tournaments at the end of the year through the Chess for Success program!

Lego Legends is an engaging workshop series where the basics of engineering and creativity are taught through Lego Bricks. Students will start with simple shapes, and then move on to create more complex structures.

The Battle is on! In Oregon's Battle of the Books, we will rise up to the challenge by building a team & battling for our school!
Sessions fluctuate from every other week starting in October to weekly sessions in January. Battle of the Books typically runs until mid-March.
